Trust Center

Security posture, permissions, data handling, and how to report a vulnerability.

Authentication model

The App never asks for API tokens or passwords. Every request to Jira runs as the signed-in user through the Forge platform (asUser), so users only see and act on what their own Jira permissions allow.

Scopes

  • read:jira-work: search issues, read issue fields and check the user's permissions.
  • read:servicedesk-request: read approvals and requests.
  • write:servicedesk-request: record approve and decline decisions.

The App does not request administrator scopes.

Report permissions

The approval report is protected by two Jira global permissions, "Approval Reports - View" and "Approval Reports - Export", plus Jira administrators. The check runs in the backend on every extraction. If the permission cannot be checked, access is denied.

Safe decisions

  • Every approve or decline is confirmed by the user before it is sent.
  • Before answering, the backend checks again that the approval is still pending and that the user can answer it.
  • Bulk actions are limited to 25 approvals at a time.

Data handling

  • No customer data is stored: no Forge storage, no cache, no scheduled jobs.
  • The fields shown in request details are limited to an allowed list.
  • The CSV is generated in the user's browser, with protection against spreadsheet formula injection.
  • Inputs such as issue keys, account IDs, project keys and dates are validated before they reach any API.

Network egress

The App does not call any external service. It only uses Atlassian's own Jira and Jira Service Management APIs, through the Forge platform.

Customer portal

The portal module is available to JSM customers only. All portal calls use the customer-facing JSM API as the signed-in customer, so a customer only sees requests that wait for their own approval.

Large-site resilience

The report reads data in pages within the Forge execution time limit and continues automatically, with visible progress. Users can pause and continue an extraction, and repeated rows are removed when pages are merged.

Reporting a vulnerability

If you identify a security vulnerability in this App, contact support@app-rl.com directly, without prior public disclosure.

Updates to this Trust Center

This page is reviewed whenever the App's permissions, data handling or architecture change, and at minimum before any Atlassian Marketplace submission.
