Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By installing or using Automation Doctor for Jira ("the App"), the customer agrees to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

2. What the App does

The App is a read-only analysis tool for Jira Automation. It estimates Automation Steps consumption, compares it against a configured allowance, and prioritizes rules for review. It does not modify, create, or execute any automation, issue, or project data.

3. Distribution

The App is currently distributed directly by AppRL, outside the Atlassian Marketplace, via an installation link or direct deployment. It may be listed on the Atlassian Marketplace in the future, in which case the applicable Marketplace terms would also apply to that distribution channel.

4. Administrator credential

The App requires an administrator email and API token to authenticate against the Atlassian Automation API, because that API does not yet support native Forge/OAuth2 authentication. The customer is responsible for using a dedicated, least-privilege service account for this purpose, and for revoking the token if the App is uninstalled or the relationship ends.

5. No warranty on estimates

Automation Steps forecasts, allowance impact percentages, and extra-usage cost estimates shown by the App are estimates, calculated with a declared heuristic margin, not statistical guarantees, and not an invoice. They do not reflect other products in the customer's organization, purchased usage packs, administrative limits, taxes, or whether extra usage billing is enabled. Atlassian's own Platform Usage screen is the authoritative source for actual billing.

6. Availability

Part of the App's functionality depends on an Atlassian endpoint that is not officially documented or supported. The App is designed to degrade gracefully if that endpoint is unavailable, but AppRL cannot guarantee its continued availability, since it is outside AppRL's control.

7. Fees

Where the App is offered under a paid plan, the price and billing cadence are as communicated at the time of purchase. Fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate use of the App at any time by uninstalling it or disconnecting the stored credential. Sections relating to data handling, warranty disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive termination.

9. Limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is". AppRL is not liable for decisions made based on estimates shown by the App, including any Automation Steps overage charges billed by Atlassian.
